My life, much like yours, is in a constant state of transformation to become the woman that God truly wants me to be! I want to share with you part of my transformational story up to this point – as every day is, and will always be, a journey as to how I find my true balance.

After graduating University of Georgia, I practiced accounting as a CPA for 5 years. During that time, I married the most amazing husband who also has a deep passion for health and wellness and we were blessed with 2 precious children, a girl and a boy, 17 months apart! It was while I was holding these two babies in my arms that God sent me a wake up call.

Having 2 babies within such a short period of time, caused me to completely neglect my body and spirit and I fell into a depression. At the time I had no idea what was happening. Tears flowed, anxiety heightened, and many questions surfaced. What am I doing with my life? I prayed for help but heard nothing. Another year passed and I had my third child, Lyla – a miracle. Months after she arrived, I developed another illness, which really took a toll on me physically and mentally.

The questions continued to point me closer to God and I asked, and prayed – Lord, WHAT is my PURPOSE? Finally, in a way I can never explain, He spoke to me, “Do what you love to do!” and “glorify Me through what you love! Love me and love others.” So from then on, I let my passion of exercise, nutrition, and encouraging others flow freely from my soul. I decided to pursue a personal training and nutrition certification and felt that through working directly with people, I could serve Him by developing relationships and encouraging women of all types. I want to help people realize that to change your body, you must transform your entire being – body, mind, and spirit!

True life transformation begins by acknowledging your need for His love and accepting His plan for a whole body healthy lifestyle. It brings me such joy every day to hear success stories from my clients and friends.  I have realized that by getting to really KNOW people and HELP people, I am truly blessed and I am finding my life’s true purpose

Lisa Patton

Director of Running & Certified Personal Trainer

Like many of you, I am a busy wife and mother with a desire to remain healthy spiritually, emotionally, and physically.  For me, strength training, running, and accountability play vital roles in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

I grew up competing on the high school and college level in basketball, track, and cross country. After graduating, I coached varsity basketball and cross-country. I also led group fitness classes in Augusta, GA.  I love encouraging others to reach their fitness goals.  After our move to Atlanta, I devoted my time to my growing family of 4 children and began homeschooling.  During this time I also grew my knowledge as a runner.  I began racing and running with several groups in Atlanta.

Soon after our move to Athens, I began working one on one with other women helping them meet their running and fitness goals.  I earned my level 1 Healthy Running Coach Certificate as well as completingmy Personal Trainer Certification. I currently write personalized training plans and encourage others to meet their running and fitness goals. I also work one on one and in group settings at TransFit Athens discussing running fundamentals and specific strength training for healthy and successful running.

Katie Woodall

Certified Personal Trainer - TransFit Oconee

I am a lifelong resident of Oconee County. I met my husband, Justin, when we were both students at the University of Georgia. We married just before my college graduation, and we have three children—Kara, Lane and Cami.

I began my transformational journey when Caroline first opened her home studio. At that time, I was 28 years old, a stay-at-home mom of two young children, and I had zero energy. I made an appointment with a family doctor for blood work and to seek answers—why did I always feel tired with no energy to take care of my kids? I will never forget him telling me it was normal. I just couldn’t accept the way I felt as “normal.”

I continued working out with Caroline doing one-on-one personal training sessions. I went once a week and started adding a few workouts on my own during the week. Before long I was hooked! I noticed muscles developing, but most importantly, I was gaining energy. I felt better—from the inside out!

I quickly discovered a love for fitness, and I wanted to share it with others. I became a group fitness instructor later that year. I taught classes at a local studio for more than 3 years and then God blessed our family with our third child.

I was working out at TransFit again after Cami was born, and when Caroline approached me about opening a TransFit studio outside of her home in Athens, I knew immediately that I wanted to be a part of it! I love encouraging women to exercise, to eat healthier and to feel their best!

I’ve been a personal trainer and teaching group fitness now for almost 8 years. Along with lifting weights, I also enjoy running. Earlier this year, I reached a dream goal of running a marathon. As I trained for the marathon, and continue training at what we call life, I long to help women of all ages reach their goals.

This fall, I’m taking a leap of faith and opening my own TransFit studio in my home. I will be leading small group sessions and offer one-on-one personal training a few days a week. My hope and desire is to reach more women in our community, to provide a space where we can push ourselves to lift weights and get stronger together so that we can be a better wife, mom, daughter, friend, caretaker—whatever God has called us to be!

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.” Ephesians 6:10

Gracie Bush

Certified Personal Trainer

Hello! My name is Kathryn (most called me Kat!), and I’m a diligent student with a zest for pursuing excellence in everything I do. I'm from Suwanee, GA; I graduated from Lambert High School with a whole bunch of middle school friends I had the privilege of leading, a yearbook I got to head the design process for, some scholarships, and a couple of state championship rings in competitive cheerleading! I grew up at Ultimate gymnastics-practically my second home-for 7 years and pivoted to competitive cheerleading for the next 9 years which I so loved to devote every minute of my childhood to.

I come from a big football family since my grandfather coached w Nick Saban, but don't worry- I'm a committed dawg fan! I say that because we love sports and we've always prioritized fitness. After my cheer career ended, I started working out at my local gym and I so enjoyed getting to help my friends strengthen their mind and body in new, little ways there. Coming to Athens, I knew I wanted to continue this journey, but it wasn't until I was placed on a Young Life team with Callie Davis that TransFit became part of the dream.

I love pouring into high schoolers at Prince Avenue alongside my Young Life team, going for long walks, sharing Earth-fare spoonable smoothies at Lake Herrick with my friends, & grabbing an avocado bowl at Café of Lumpkin.

I’m energized by purpose-driven work and caring for the people around me. I pride myself on having a growth mindset, using my strong interpersonal skills to ignite a culture of genuine interactions–even in the mundane moments–living by the idea that a smile goes a long way.

One of my favorite verses is Philippians 4:19-20. It says "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen." Knowing that He alone equips me with every single thing I need reminds me that I'm capable of doing great things and stretching out of my comfort zone with Him as my source for strength! I pray that I would never fail to give Him alone the glory, not thinking more or less or myself, but simply thinking of myself less. Gratitude is my life anthem! :)

That's me! I'm so excited to get to know you!!

Abigail Durocher

Living Transformed Podcast Producer

Hello! My name is Abigail Durocher. I am so thankful and excited to get to be a part of the TransFit team! I am from Athens, GA and am now a student at UGA pursuing a major in Public Relations, a minor in Business, and a certificate in Entrepreneurship.

Over the past couple of years in college, I have cultivated a passion for living a healthy lifestyle physically, spiritually, and mentally. After graduating high school and my cheerleading and tennis days ended, I discovered a newfound joy for exercising through exploring different activities and finding what truly resonated with me. Some of my favorite workouts include yoga, pilates, and walking. Through TransFit, I have found a new excitement and enjoyment for strength and HIIT training. It is important for me to find workouts that I genuinely enjoy and use to celebrate what God created our bodies to do.

Other passions of mine include finding ways to maintain a healthy spiritual and mental health. I prioritize these because I believe that emotional well-being is fundamental to leading a balanced life. I love spending time with God in the Bible and through prayer, going on walks, being in nature, reading books, cooking, and spending quality time with my friends and family.

One of my all time favorite passages of Scripture is 1 Peter 1: 24-25:

“For all flesh is like grass, and all its glory like a flower of the grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls, but the word of the Lord endures forever. And this word is the gospel that was proclaimed to you.”

The only thing in this world that can ever fulfill us is our Heavenly Father and his everlasting Word. Without Him, the hunger and thirst of our souls will never be satisfied. We can take hope in the promise that he is everlasting and eternal, and through Him we have this gift too!

I am so thankful for TransFit and the positive, uplifting environment it cultivates. What a special place that prioritizes maintaining spiritual, mental, and physical well-being!! We are so excited to transform you - body, mind, and spirit!
