This past week I was fortunate enough to be able to go to a conference with my husband, Kelly. Unfortunately, squeezing in a workout on the go can sometimes be challenging. Wanting a high intensity, quick workout that could be done in the hotel, I designed this Red Hot workout one night before dinner!
HIIT, or High Intensity Interval Training, is a great way to engage the muscles with low to moderate intensity intervals alternating with high intensity intervals. It's a great way to burn more fat than a typical cardio workout since you are able to increase both your aerobic and anaerobic endurance. It has also been shown to speed up your metabolism, effectively helping you burn more calories for the rest of the day. The best news of all: since the HIIT intervals are relatively short, this workout can be done in a shorter period of time, making it easier to fit into a busy schedule. Let's get out there and HIIT it!
